Just got back from the most brilliant week in a luxury holiday cottage in Norfolk, and honestly, it was the perfect antidote to our frantic London lives. The cottage had board games galore, so Monopoly nights descended into hilarious cheating scandals – the in-laws are ruthless! One night, a power cut hit, plunging us into candlelight. No Netflix panic; we just roasted marshmallows on the fire pit and told ghost stories. Pure joy.

Norfolk's got that unhurried magic – no theme parks, just nature's playground. We nipped to the Thursford Collection for a kitschy tractor ride (kids loved it, I pretended to), and wandered Cromer's pier for candy floss and arcade wins. But the real highlight? Doing nowt. Lounging with a GandT, listening to lapwings, feeling properly unplugged.
