About Apartment 6.

The seaside town of Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme. The town offers two beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes. For the best views, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile.

About Conway
I finally made it to Conway after what felt like the world's slowest drive from Manchester. I'd packed the car with enough snacks to feed a small army – crisps, pork scratchings, the works – but about halfway there, disaster struck. A rogue seagull dive-bombed my windscreen, splattering it with what I can only describe as abstract art made of fishy regret. I pulled over at a layby near Colwyn Bay, scrubbing away with a half-empty bottle of screen wash, muttering to myself about how holidays shouldn't start with avian warfare. Still, by the time I trundled into Conway, the sun was peeking through the clouds, and I was buzzing with that proper anticipation – you know, the kind where you're imagining cracking open a cold one and doing absolutely nowt.

Pulling up to the holiday apartment, my first impressions were spot on. It's this bright, welcoming spot tucked away in a quiet corner, perfect for a couple or family wanting to unwind without the hassle. The open-plan living area hit me right away – two comfy sofas begging you to flop down in front of the telly, and a kitchen so well-kitted out I half considered baking scones on the spot. Two double bedrooms and a sleek shower room meant no queuing for the loo, which is always a win. I dumped my bags, cracked the window, and just breathed it all in. No rush, no plans – just me, a cuppa, and the gentle hum of North Wales life outside.

The real joy of the next few days was embracing the art of doing bugger all, and this place made it effortless. Mornings started late, with me shuffling out to the garden in my slippers, brew in hand, settling into a lounger with a dog-eared paperback. The garden's a proper little haven – not massive, but lush and private, with birdsong and the faint crash of waves from the nearby coast. I'd lose hours there, flicking pages while the world slowed right down. Lunch? A lazy rummage in the fridge for cheese on toast, eaten al fresco as I watched clouds drift over the Conway estuary. No timetables, no guilt – just the simple thrill of a breeze on your face and a story unfolding in your lap.

Afternoons blurred into dozy bliss. I'd wander five minutes to the quay for a takeaway coffee from one of those quaint little spots, then back to the sofa for a film marathon. The TV's a godsend after a "busy" day of birdwatching from the garden. Evenings were wine o'clock in the living area, feet up, reminiscing about... well, mostly the nothing we'd done, which somehow felt epic. One night, I caught myself staring out the window at the twinkling lights of Llandudno pier in the distance – close enough to feel part of it, far enough not to bother going. It got me reflecting, you see. Back home, life's a non-stop whirl of emails and errands. Here? I realised how knackered I'd been, and how blooming restorative it is to switch off. No grand adventures needed; just this cosy nook coaxing you into proper relaxation.

If you're after a slice of North Wales without the itinerary, this apartment's your ticket to lazy heaven. I left feeling recharged, already plotting a return for more of the same sweet nothing.
