I finally made it to Rhos-on-Sea after what felt like the world's most faffing journey. I even brought the dog, who immediately claimed a spot by the window for prime sea-gazing duties.

But honestly, the joy of this trip? Doing sod all, in the best possible way. No grand plans, no ticking off lists – just lazy cottage days stretching out like the horizon.
