About Llandudno
I’ll never forget the drive up to Llandudno – what was meant to be a straightforward jaunt from Manchester turned into a proper comedy of errors. Sat-nav decided to play silly buggers halfway through, rerouting us down some winding back lane that felt like it hadn’t seen tarmac since the war. We ended up in a queue of caravans crawling along, with me fiddling desperately with the air con while my other half laughed and snapped pics of the sheep giving us side-eye. By the time we spotted the seafront, I was parched, starving, and questioning my life choices. But honestly, that little chaos just amped up the anticipation – Llandudno’s got that magical pull, doesn’t it? Victorian grandeur hugging the bay, with the Great Orme looming like a friendly giant.

Pulling into the car park near the centre, hearts racing a bit from the detour, we finally rocked up at this cracking 2nd floor apartment smack in the heart of town. It’s the perfect bolthole for two, all bright and welcoming, like it was waiting with open arms. We hauled our bags up the stairs – minor faff, as my suitcase wheel chose that moment to give up the ghost, spilling half my undies onto the landing. Cue red-faced giggles from the neighbours peeking out. But stepping inside? Blimey, instant love. The open-plan living space hit us first – massive windows dumping in that North Wales light, making the whole place feel airy and alive. Sleek kitchen with all the mod cons, a comfy seating area with telly and WiFi for lazy nights, plus a spacious double bedroom and spotless shower room that screamed relaxation.

First impressions? Spot on. We dumped the bags and cracked open a brew, staring out at the bustle below – shops and proper old pubs just a stagger away. No faffing about with taxis; everything’s on your doorstep. That evening, we wandered to the pier, fish and chips in hand, the sun dipping behind the Orme in a proper pink glow. Laughed about the drive over ice cream, then back to the flat for a cosy unwind. It got me thinking, you know – in the rush of life, we forget how a simple spot like this resets you. No grand adventures needed; just good light, a comfy nook, and the sea’s whisper. If you’re after a base to soak up Llandudno’s charm – prom strolls, cable car jaunts up the Orme, or pints in snug boozers – this place nails it. Chaos and all, it was the perfect start to a cracking break. Can’t wait to go back.
