About Bennar Fawr.
The lovely community of Dyffryn Ardudwy is peacefully nestled between the Rhinogs, a section of the Eryri (Snowdonia) Mountains, and the gorgeous golden beaches of North Wales. Because of its unique location, this quaint community enjoys its own moderate temperature and has excellent local stores and taverns. A wide variety of fauna and birds, including flying buzzards, can be found in the surrounding area. Nearby attractions.
About Snowdonia
Still, as we finally crested the hill and spotted the place, all that palaver melted away. There it was, this cracking detached house right by the coast, looking every bit the historic gem from the 15th century. Pulling up outside, I just sat there for a sec, engine ticking, taking in the marvellous exterior against the sea breeze rolling in off the Irish Sea. The landscaped gardens stretched out invitingly, wildflowers nodding in the wind, and there was heaps of off-road parking – enough for a small army, which was a godsend with our overloaded estate car. First impressions? Blimey, it wowed us proper. We tumbled out, bags spilling everywhere (another mini-mishap as the cool bag split and released a rogue cucumber), but who cared? The anticipation built as we crunched up the drive, the salt air sharp and promising adventures. Stepping inside was like entering a hug from an old friend – spacious, stunning interiors that screamed “relax here”. We dumped our chaos in the hallway and beelined for one of the two sitting rooms, both kitted out lovely with cosy sofas and tellies begging for a binge-watch. Perfect for shaking off the road madness. The kids claimed the garden straight off, whooping as they explored the outdoor spaces, while we cracked open a brew and just breathed it all in. It’s the sort of place made for big family gatherings, with room to sprawl without tripping over each other. That first evening, we wandered the mile-and-a-bit to Dyffryn Ardudwy’s beach, toes in the sand, dodging jellyfish like pros (another small mishap – little one stepped on one, but a quick rinse sorted it). Back at the house, we unwound in the second sitting room, feet up, watching the sun dip over the coast. Reflecting on it now, that bumpy arrival was a reminder I need to chill more – life’s too short for sheep-induced stress. This spot near Snowdonia’s edge gave us that reset: sea views, space, and zero faff once we’d arrived. If you’re after a proper family escape, hunt down something like this – you won’t regret it. |
